Summer time!

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

So, I have clearly taken some time away from the blogging. After school got out, things ran non-stop and I never really had much of an opportunity to sit down and write!

The end of the year stuff went all good! The McDonald’s paper went extremely well, my “LP II” for EDN 330 went over well, too! And in anthropology, I think I ended out with a very high percentage…

After all of that, we had checkouts and things to close around the halls. Along with that, I was a junior marshal for commencement. The job basically consisted of helping graduate line up and get back into their seats after walking across the stage.

Sunday after commencement marked the beginning of Jr/Sr Scholars. This program is an internship for pre-service teachers to work with students from the west side of Chicago and east Aurora. The past two weeks have been full of training on different strategies on teaching various subject matters. This will be an amazing experience!

I am focusing on college prep with Juniors and Seniors. This week we are traveling to the various communities and teaching in the respective schools. The following weeks, they will come to us at NCC! These are some very bright students who have great potential! Look out for my bragging about their successes!

Euro Cup 2008 is UNREAL! Some of these matches have been out of control (ie any game Turkey plays)! I am stoked for the upcoming matches!

In the states, the Fire have been slacking a bit. A 3 game losing streak is no way to win a title. And as for the Sox, more need not be said.
