Who is Mr. NCC?

Friday, April 25th, 2008

This Guy! Thats right my loyal readers, (If I have loyal readers. No one leaves comments :-() I am Mr. NCC! It was a really fun experience competing with some of NCC’s best men.

The Chicago Fire loss was a bummer over the weekend. But, we can’t win ‘em all, can we?

This upcoming week, my floor is going to start painting our floor mural! It is a tradition that floors create a mural that kind of reflects the tenor of the floor. Our is going to look like guitar hero 3 and we will have all of our names on it! Eh, when it is finished, I will post some pictures!

When I get a copy of it, I will post the video of my talent! It does exist, I just don’t have it on me! Till then here is the coronation of Mr. NCC…crowd-control2.jpg

Who will be Mr. NCC?

Friday, April 18th, 2008

I am in the running for Mr. NCC!The best way to describe this activity is a man-pageant (or mangeant). The whole competition consists of 4 major “events.” We start off with an opening dance, choreographed by the Cardettes dance squad. Next, we have a version of the swim suite competition; cruise wear. After that, the talent portion (always a crowd favorite). Finally, there is the formal wear and questioning. All-in-all, it should be a fine evening for NCC’s finest men.I am sure you are wondering about the talent. I have put together a highly revered Saturday Night Live sketch, Spartan Cheerleaders. Last year I was a competitor and won Best Talent. I plan on retaining the title!!!School is school these days. Just hanging in there for the last 6 weeks…The weather has really turned and I am excited about that! Spring is pretty much here!!! Along with that, I must send a shout out to the Chicago Fire with a great start to the season!—————Now playing: The Beatles - Somethingvia FoxyTunes

Can it be spring now?

Friday, April 11th, 2008

It is spring term, but that is definitely NOT reflected in the weather here! It was really nice for a while, and I started working out and playing frisbee and life was good! Now….it is back to constant rain and cold and…yuck…

Things are chugging along with classes! Lesson Plan #1 is all set and turned in for the Exceptional Child class, so that is good!

More exciting on the education front, I passed my content test! This was a big deal, so I am really glad I passed!

Last week we had a really cool event. The college rented out a theater at Nova 8 and had a private showing of 21 for NCC students! Have you ever gone to a movie with 200 of your closest friends?

Also, we have lots of stuff coming along with the show choir! We have a bunch of shows and new songs lined for our last concert! That last concert is June 1st at 7:00PM in Pfeiffer Hall on campus!!!!

Bag-A-Burrito

Friday, April 4th, 2008

This week has been pretty laid back. The major highlight was probably my “Bag-A-Burrito” program. With the help of 2 other RA’s I put together a bags tournament. The top three teams won gift certificates to Chipotle!

Like I said, this has been a pretty simple week! Not too much going on. Right now, I am trying to hammer down a Global History Research Topic. It looks like it will be about cultural effects of McDonalds….
