The recent shutdown of the United States federal government is having an effect on everyone and the research you may need to do for some of your classes isn’t exempt. You may notice that many of our databases that rely on government information, including the popular education database ERIC, have also been shutdown. You will also find many federal government websites are shutdown as well, including the U.S. Census website. Check out this brief article from NPR about some of the effected sites.
If you’re looking for an alternative to gathering statistical government information, try searching one of our databases for an article that cites the statistic you’re looking for. As always, if you’re having trouble finding information please feel free to contact us and we’re happy to help you try to work around this information access issue.
