SmartBoard/Clickers in the 97 Lab

SmartBoard technology is now available in the Class of 1997 Library Instruction Computer Lab at the Oesterle Library. All the computers in the lab have the SmartNotebook software necessary to use the SmartBoard. SmartBoard is a large interactive whiteboard. Users can touch the screen surface to select menus and icons, and special markers can be used to write notes or highlight lessons. The easy-to-use technology can be used for creating, delivering and managing interactive lessons.

An audience response system set (clickers) is also available for use in the Class of 1997 Library Instruction Computer Lab and the software to create clicker presentations, TurningPoint 2008, is installed on all lab computers. The set of clickers can be checked out at the Information Services Desk.

For more information on using either of these technologies check out the library’s guide to using educational technology or stop by the Information Services Desk.
