Using Electronic Journal Notifications
Keeping up with new issues of your favorite electronic journals is simple when you use table of contents notifications available from electronic journal publishers. Notifications are often available in two formats from most journal publishers. Email notifications are sent to your chosen email address with the latest table of contents information as it is available. RSS feeds display new articles in your RSS feed reader of choice, like Google Reader or Bloglines, as they are added to the electronic journal. Most electronic journals feature instructions on subscribing to notifications; visit your favorites to set up alerts of your own!
Students and staff interested in learning more about setting up electronic journal notifications can see Oesterle Library staff for assistance. Contact Jennie Johnson (630-637-5712), Emily Prather (630-637-5709) or stop by the Information Services Desk to find out more.
