Looking for a book but don’t have pencil or paper to write down the call number from the catalog? A new feature that recently debuted in Cardinal Cat allows users to text message themselves the information needed to locate a book in the library’s stacks. Click on the “Text Me This Call Number” link in any record in Cardinal Cat to enter your phone number, including the area code, and service provider. A text message will be sent to your phone with the title, call number, location and status of the item!

“Text Me This Call Number” is available in the I-Share catalog as well as in Cardinal Cat for users interested in locating items in person at other I-Share libraries. The service is free but provider charges may apply; text messages may be truncated due to provider text message limits.
