Spicing it up

November 19th, 2009 by ahsmith

Heya Readers!

Just thought I’d spice it up with a written blog for week ten, plus I have written two papers in the last 24 hours, so why not write some more!!!!?!

Anyways, we only have what, 5 more school days left here? That is so crazy. I cannot believe that this term has flown as it has. I feel that my college career is slipping away, and I want nothing more than to stay in college forever. I love it so much.

This week has been full of paper writing and preparing for finals week. Getting stuff together, presentations, you know the drill. I am finishing up a final paper now, then editing another paper. Then class, then dinner, then gym bahaha it never ends. But I love it I guess. Academics are my thing, as I have been told.

Anyways, I am looking forward to my favorite holiday. Thanksgiving! I love family and friends and just hanging out and around with them. I have not spent enough time with them lately. So this is definitely the time.

My new obsession is Coach’s new ocelot pattern. I don’t even know what to do with myself when I see it. It is just so amazing. It makes me so happy. I just thought I would let you all know. Check it out :]

Hope all is fantastic.

From homework to bowling?

Heya Readers

This week has been interesting to say the least. I have gotten tons of work done and made some great decisions. Guess where I will be living next fall (pending a few logistic things) ATHENSSSS :]]]] I found out there is a new study abroad program offered to Greece next year, and I am indefinitely pursuing it. This is my dream trip and has kicked me into high gear. I will be changing my schedule a bit, actually making it MORE academically rigorous. GO FIGURE. I feel I have these issues where I just love to challenge myself. I think it’s a disease.

Anyways, GREECE :]]] Once I confirm more details I will tell you more. I don’t want to get myself TOO excited even though I am. Right now I feel compelled to do some reading…so after I tell you about bowling, I shall get to that.

Instead of working on homework tonight (I am ahead though anyways) I went bowling with my roommates. It was a real good time and I actually WON the first game. Bowled a 137. I was proud. Anways, it is 1:11 AM and I feel it is a good time to end this.

I’ll write about homecoming next time! GO CARDS!

Happy class got cancelled today…day…

October 13th, 2009 by ahsmith

Heya Readers

This week has started out with a roar, and I figured I’d write to you guys before my life becomes INSANE…aka starting tonight. Sunday, I helped my friend Lizzie bake 48 cupcakes, except we shared one so we ended up with 47. She was baking them for Craft Club, a new club that has been started. It meets on Mondays. You should check it out!

Monday was a visit day! Since I work in Admissions, the best place to work, I got to stand outside and direct people to parking. Then, I went to class. Last night, my friend Hannah came to visit me from Elmhurst. She was my roommate at Golden Apple. She is a wonderful person. We went to Flattop for dinner and then grabbed some Cookie Dough Creations to eat in my room. I showed her my dorm and we talked then she had to be on her way. Then, my friend Kelvin came over and we did homework and ate pretzels and chocolate for a few hours. It was a productive and enjoyable time.

This week starts to get insane tonight when I have to write my paper for my history class, start preparing for a midterm Thursday, and study for a map quiz thursday. My geography class got cancelled for today, so at least I was able to gain that time to do some homework. Maybe I’ll finally get to watch the Grey’s Anatomy from this week! We shall see.

For now, I am off to the bank then class.

Stay warm!

Heya Readers

Just got back from the football game. Cardinals won 83-7! They are so crazy good. :] I went with my family and my bestest friend ever, Jeremy. He told me I should say that. It was really cold, but we stayed until the fourth quarter. My family and I went out to Potbelly before. It was super good. It’s nice living so close to downtown Naperville so that you can just go out to eat. Family coming up is great :]

We stopped by SNAC at White Activities Center which was great. Jeremy won a $25 gift card to AMC. It worked out nicely.

We are now in my room trying to warm up!!!!!!!! Hopefully that works out.

I’ll write more next week.

The title of this blog summarizes my life.

Heya Readers!

This week has been a busy, but amazing week for me here at NCC. I have had tons of homework, but in a good way. It has definitely kept me busy, which is exactly what the doctor ordered. One thing that I am particularly excited about is in my Western Civilization class, my professor is offering a good amount of extra credit. This is very nice of her and is making me feel more confident about the course. I plan on working on a bunch of those assignments this weekend.

In fun activities this week, I went to the volleyball game with my roommate from last year. The Cardinals ended up defeating Elmhurst, but it was a super intense game. CUAB members were there handing out Tshirts too. I am wearing mine now! The game was super good and it was great to see girls from my floor last year playing. We still talk which is super nice.

Also, my friends and I have been baking together in the kitchen of my dining hall. We made cupcakes with strawberries in them. They were amazingly delicious. We plan on doing this weekly :] Another new fun thing that I did last night was babysit ! I love babysitting and spending time with the kids was nothing short of amazing. I learned of some new Disney shows too. I have to keep up!

Anyways, I should be off to work now. I hope I have a tour!

I am feeling super good lately, more like myself than ever. Funny what a few changes can do for you.

to break or bury or wear as jewelry, whichever you prefer……

Heya Readers,

This week has started off in an interesting direction, but I am making due with what life is throwing at me at this point. My multitude of history classes is keeping me super busy, but that is what I expected. I also am finding more time for friends and family lately. It is what I need, and what I deserve.

That is about all I have right now, all I have in me.

TOMORROW, TOMORROW

I LOVE YA TOMORROW!

Heya Readers,

Tomorrow is move in day at NCC for Sophomores and up! My parents and I packed up my van to the brims. I am pretty convinced that my family is not going to fit in there. We honestly have to hold stuff on our laps to make the trip. Anyways, I am very excited to organize my room being that it is my own. I hope that I have enough room though. I haven’t even seen this room before I am moving into it. I think that is pretty crazy. Feels kind of like Freshman year…but it is only Sophomore year so I guess it can be similar!

Monday starts classes but at least I don’t start until 9:20 so that will be a bit later. However, I have a long day with class 9:20-11:50 then work 1-4. It should be an interesting schedule. Tuesday-Thursday is also very different for me. I have class from 2-6 which is not my ideal going to class time. That is just how my schedule panned out though this term. I plan on getting up at 9 or 9:30AM those mornings to do homework and just hangout in my OWN ROOM :]

Anyway, this year I plan on keeping busy this term with classes and International Club and work and friends! It shall be a great year at NCC, and it all begins tomorrow! School posts start soon :]
